The Inland Empire Center
The Inland Empire Center (originally the San Bernardino Center) was established in 1981 after the CCC’s Barstow Center was closed. Based at Patton State Hospital for more than 25 years, the center relocated to San Bernardino in 2009 where it employs 90 nonresidential corpsmembers.
The center serves the largest geographic area in the CCC, extending from Riverside and San Bernardino counties to the Arizona/ Nevada borders and north to Mono County and the Eastern Sierra. The center also oversees a satellite operation located between the cities of Pomona, Diamond Bar and Walnut, on the grounds of Lanterman Developmental Center.
