The Camarillo Center is in a new facility designed to enhance and enrich the CCC experience for corpsmembers and staff. The center is located in an agricultural area and is home to 100 corpsmembers and staff. Dorm life for corpsmembers is similar to college dormitories, offering semi-private rooms, personal space and an environment that fosters independence, learning and growth.
The new kitchen and dining room are next to a large multipurpose room that may be used for graduations and holiday banquets.
The center is the first silver-rated facility in Ventura County under the guidelines of the Leadership in Environmental Efficiency Design (LEED) program.
Our center is located in Camarillo, which is in Ventura County between Santa Barbara and the San Fernando Valley. This site enjoys a very mild climate year round. Nearby scenic areas include the Los Padres National Forest, the Santa Monica Mountains and the Channel Islands, as well as coastal communities from Malibu to Santa Barbara.
Los Angeles Satellite
Along with the residential center in Camarillo, the CCC has nonresidential satellite facilities in Los Angeles (Vernon and Main) and East Los Angeles (Norwalk). Corpsmembers meet at these facilities and depart from there each morning for natural resource work in the area.
