Proposition 84
Proposition 84, the Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006, has allotted $45 million to the California Conservation Corps. Of this funding, $25 million is available for projects to improve public safety, improve and restore watersheds including regional and community fuel load reduction projects on public lands, and stream and river restoration projects.
The CCC will use 50 percent of this funding for complying projects to be worked by CCC corpsmembers throughout the state. The balance of funding is allocated to the local conservation corps programs for similar projects. In addition, $20 million is available for grants to local corps programs for acquisition and development of facilities and for local resource conservation activities.
CCC and local conservation corps staff will find below the tools necessary to complete a project application, report status to the Corps’ Headquarters during project work, and close out completed projects.
