OVERVIEW:
A tremendous season is over. It’s been a long season and we’re ready to get out. Here’s how it all finished out.
Rock work was the focus, that and finishing up person’s individual project. Every body felt the deadline approaching and posted extra hard to get done. We luckily made it happen. With rock work complete, each crew hit on some maintenance for awhile. Doug’s crew finished the Grouse Lake Loop. Stevie’s team finished the trail up to Red Peak Pass and then did some more maintenance miles on the high water trail.
With the work done, it was time for a bit of celebration. Doug’s crew hiked over to Stevie’s camp, for a carnival. Everybody got into costume and we had several events. Pin the hair on the Stevie, Brease Bombs, Corn Dogs, and Pizza. It was great to have both halves of the crew back together and the party went long into the night.
We had an uneventful hike out and drove over to the East side to soak in the hot springs. We cashed some checks in Mammoth and drove to Camp Mather for our debriefing. And now it’s over.
The Yosemite II crew would like to thank all of those who have supported us in our journey and encouraged us to grab this opportunity. Till next time, sports fans!
